We Believe…

 

Our Beliefs are based solely on the patterns and principles revealed in the Word of God, the Bible.

 

General Statement of Faith… we believe

 

That Jesus is the Son of the living God, and the only saviour from sin.

 

That Jesus Christ is the great Physician and the healer of the body through atonement.

 

That Jesus Christ is the baptiser with the Holy Spirit, today just as he was on the day of Pentecost.

 

That Jesus Christ is the soon coming King coming back to earth again as the only hope for a dying world.

 

That Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday and today and forever.

This church is part of a much wider fellowship of churches across the world known as CFM, Christian Fellowship Ministries. It was originally begun in 1970 out of what was known at the time as the Jesus People Movement, thousands of hippies being Born Again across America. Wayman Mitchell, a local Pastor in a small church in Prescott, Arizona, began to give himself to these young people, loving and investing in their lives.

 

The result of these beginnings is today a worldwide fellowship of over 1600 churches in over 100 countries.

The Vision…

 

The vision of this church is simply to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. We do so through local outreach, preaching and music ministry. Our influence reaches out past this city with churches from this congregation in Glasgow, Sheffield, Leicester, Birmingham, Walsall, Coventry, Bury St Edmunds and Great Yarmouth. We are also a church that is actively involved in World Evangelism, sponsoring meetings overseas and supporting a missionary family in Georgetown, Guyana.
